WYGS, Your Gospel Station, came along last year,
For a while Excuses, Excuses, was all we did hear.
Then came more songs, and it looked like it was for real.
As they played Southern Gospel more each day,
The joy and inspiration our hearts did feel.
Then one morning DJ Jim Hutson appeared,
His may fans and friends excitedly cheered.
The WYGS Trio soon began to form,
They have proven to be better than just the norm.
Then Elaine Poer was brought on the scene,
Her youth and Bible verses have been quite refreshing.
Throughout the summer we were given the chance to meet,
The ones who were getting this station on its feet.
They brought in Gold City for a grand, live concert,
That sure gave a full house of people a big perk.
A radio station with such a Godly message deserves our support,
So whether you can give a few dollars or be a coffee can club member ---be a good sport.
Keith, Tom, Jim, Rena, Elaine and many more,
We are looking forward to what’s in store.
We’re praying for this station’s ministry every day,
You have brought a great blessing and brightened our way.
We love what WYGS is doing,
And trust this ministry you will continue pursuing.
