COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation (BCSF) has announced Deepti Vijaykumar as its new Executive Director. She brings a wealth of experience in public speaking, education, and leadership development to her new role, having impacted the Columbus community for over a decade.
She is a TEDx speaker, children’s book author, and a Triple Crown Toastmaster, known for her dedication to supporting education, diversity, and inclusion.
Deepti’s leadership experience includes mentoring professionals in speaking and leadership skills through her local Toastmasters club, where she is President. Vijaykumar has represented the Indian culture and community on radio, television, and podcasts. She was a recent delegate at the US-India Partnership Summit at the US Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Her work also extends into creative writing, with her children’s book, Diwali in the Midwest. Several schools within BCSC, including Southside and CSA Fodrea Elementary, have hosted events with Deepti to celebrate the book, fostering an inclusive learning environment for students.
BCSF Board Secretary Megan Shaff said, “Her passion for supporting our students and staff has been evident through her involvement with the South Asian Gala, STEM initiatives, and her commitment to BCSC. We look forward to supporting her in her new role and growing the Foundation’s impact.”
With an educational background in mechanical engineering, marketing, and business analytics, she brings a unique perspective to her role, further strengthening BCSF’s mission to enhance educational opportunities for all BCSC students.
