GREENWOOD, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Milestone Contractors, L.P., continues work on State Road 135 between County Line Road and Fairview Road to complete a bridge deck overlay project in Greenwood. Phase 2 of the project will begin on or after Wednesday, April 30.
Overall, work on S.R. 135 is expected to be complete in late June, weather permitting.
The project will be completed in three phases. As work progresses, more details will be provided by INDOT. Initial information can be found here.
Lane closures will be utilized on S.R. 135 while Phase 2 of work is in progress and are currently planned as follows:
- Both northbound and southbound traffic will be shifted to use the southbound lanes of S.R. 135, reducing S.R. 135 to one lane in each direction between Michele Lane and Stonegate Drive.
- The west side entrance to Fry Road will remain closed from northbound and southbound S.R. 135 while work is in progress.
- No left-hand turns from southbound S.R. 135 onto eastbound Fry Road. Left-hand turns from eastbound Fry Road onto southbound S.R. 135 will still be permitted.
- No right-hand turns from eastbound Fry Road onto northbound S.R. 135. Right-hand turns from northbound S.R. 135 onto eastbound Fry Road will still be permitted.
This maintenance is part of a $3.7 million contract awarded in October 2024. Drivers should slow down, use caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
