BARGERSVILLE, Ind. – The Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) reminds artists that the entry deadline for the Color the County Mural contest is May 28.
This year, the mural will be in Bargersville. JCCF will celebrate the work of art with a summer “Community Painting Day,” where residents of all ages can help bring the mural to life.
The Foundation is looking for local artists, emerging artists, art students, and creative community members interested in submitting Color the County Mural designs for this year’s program. No previous experience is necessary. This year’s mural will be painted on a wall at Taxman Brewing Company in Bargersville.
JCCF will award $3500 for the winning design, plus mural materials and the instruction needed to prepare for an outdoor mural installation. The winner will be responsible for coordinating efforts with the Foundation to complete the community mural in the summer of 2025. This includes mural prep work leading to the Community Painting Day, and then mural touch-ups, and completion afterwards.
