COLUMBUS, Ind. – River Valley Legal Aid is presenting another free walk-in clinic at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 5th St., in Columbus, this Tuesday, May 27, from 3 to 5 p.m.
The Pro Bono Indiana program uses local volunteer lawyers who offer free legal consultations to low-income individuals. The goal is to further assist in equal access to justice within the community for those who might not otherwise be able to afford the counsel of an attorney.
At no cost, the River Valley Legal Aid walk-in clinic on Tuesday provides individuals with a 10-minute consultation to answer in-person questions and offer legal information on a civil matter, on a first-come, first-served basis. You don’t need to register in advance.
Get free legal advice on adoptions, family law (child support modification, custody, divorce, parenting time), guardianships, landlord/tenant (evictions, habitability issues), powers of attorney, protective orders, simple wills, and small estates. Criminal law questions will not be answered.
