GREENWOOD, Ind. – The City of Greenwood brings back its popular Summer Concert Series starting this Saturday, May 31, at 7 p.m., at the Greenwood Amphitheater in Craig Park.
Residents and visitors are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snack-packed coolers to the park most Saturdays from June through August. The weekend shows feature a variety of musical genres, ranging from pop and rock to country and throwbacks.
“The Summer Concert Series continues to be a summer tradition that brings our community together to enjoy great music at one of our many beautiful parks,” said Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers. “I’m thankful for the Parks and Recreation team’s exceptional work.”
Last year, Greenwood’s Parks and Recreation Department welcomed approximately 15,000 attendees to the amphitheater for the summer series. The venue can host up to 3,000 attendees per concert.
The band “Country Summer” kicks off the Summer Concert Series this Saturday night. The shows end Aug. 9. Select local food trucks will provide food at each concert. Enjoy drink options from Oaken Barrel Brewing Company and Mallow Run Winery.
