GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) and its contractor, Milestone Contractors L.P., have started Phase 3, the third and final phase of the bridge deck overlay project on State Road 135 between County Line Road and Fairview Road in Greenwood.
All of the work on S.R. 135 is expected to be complete in late June, weather permitting.
This project is part of a $3.7 million contract awarded in October 2024. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
Lane closures are in effect while Phase 3 is in progress and are currently planned as follows:
- Northbound and southbound S.R. 135 traffic will be shifted to use the southbound lanes of S.R. 135, reducing S.R. 135 to one lane in each direction between Michele Lane and Stonegate Drive
- East and west Fry Road entrances will be closed at S.R. 135 while work is in progress (no right or left turns from northbound and southbound S.R. 135 onto Fry Road)
More information will be provided as work progresses. Initial project information can be found here.
