COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health, Columbus Regional Hospital, and Columbus Regional Health Physicians, LLC (CRH) have announced an agreement with Cigna Healthcare to be in network with Cigna commercial medical plans.
Last week, Cigna agreed to fair terms and rates for CRH and the services it offers to its mutual patients. As such, both Cigna and Columbus Regional Health have agreed that the former notice of contract termination will impact no covered Cigna patient.
Although it was previously communicated that CRH would transition to out-of-network status with Cigna Healthcare by late June, ongoing discussions have now extended the contract with the insurance provider, and all plans and claims will continue to be covered within our network without interruption.
CRH officials said, “These discussions between medical service providers and payers exemplify how hospitals and healthcare organizations should work to advocate for not only the organization but also the patients we serve, ensuring that multiple plans remain in-network.”
Columbus Regional Health added, “We would like to extend our appreciation to our patients and employers for your continued support as we strive to provide exceptional care and medical insurance coverage options to our community.”
