NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) arrested a Jennings County man on Thursday, July 10, for violating his sex offender registration by moving near a local daycare.
36-year-old Anthony Bannister of North Vernon had relocated into a house on Sunnyside Drive, which was less than 1,000 feet from a nearby daycare facility, placing him in violation of Indiana’s sex offender residency restrictions. The charge is a Level 6 Felony.
Bannister was taken into custody and is incarcerated at the Jennings County Jail.
All parties are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
