COLUMBUS, Ind. –Bartholomew County Highway Department will be closing Whitehorse Road for road improvements and realignment from today at noon to 3 p.m. on Friday July 25.
Whitehorse Rd will close from Bellesville Pike (in Brown County) to Youth Camp Road, with only local traffic being allowed through. The barricades will be staggered for local traffic only but no thru-traffic will be allowed because a large section of road will be missing.
The Highway Department is asking drivers to not move or remove “Road Closed” signs and barricades as the next person coming through could get injured or worse. Please avoid this area, Watch for work crews, and trucks.
For Residents north of 3931 S. Whitehorse Road to Youthcamp Road (including those on 170 South) must use Youthcamp Road
For Residents south of 3969 S. Whitehorse Road to Bellesville Pike must use Bellesville to get to their homes.
