GREENWOOD, Ind. – Mayor Mark Myers and the City of Greenwood invite you to the first public design workshop to share your ideas for the Greenwood Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). The two-hour UPO Update meeting will help shape the future built outcomes for the community.
The design workshop will take place on Tuesday, September 16, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Greenwood City Center Council Chambers, 300 S. Madison Ave.
Key topics for interactive discussion include Streetscape Design, Open Space and Amenities, and Building Design.
The Greenwood UDO is a set of rules governing land use and development. Its purpose is to protect public health and safety, guide growth, ensure efficient development, and promote the city’s overall welfare and the goals of its Comprehensive Plan. It covers zoning, subdivision regulations, building design standards, and special exceptions for development, with recent updates focused on modernizing standards and improving user-friendliness.
