SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety, has given Schneck Medical Center its highest grade of “A” for hospital safety in 2024.
Leapfrog assigns grades for “A” through “F” hospitals across the country based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
“At Schneck, patient safety is at the heart of everything we do, and we are deeply honored to receive an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group,” said Eric Fish, MD, MBA, FACOG, President/CEO of Schneck. “This recognition reflects the unwavering dedication of our team to provide safe, high-quality care to every patient who walks through our doors.”
This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
