SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Shelby County Drug Task Force, in collaboration with the Shelbyville Police Department, has arrested 46-year-old Michael Bozarth Jr. of Fairland, on multiple charges related to the illegal distribution and possession of controlled substances.
Following a nearly month-long investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Bozarth, who faces three counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine, each classified as Level 2 Felonies, as well as Dealing in Cocaine, a Level 4 Felony.
On Tuesday, December 10, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department and Shelbyville Police Department SWAT apprehended the suspect on the arrest warrant and executed a search warrant at his Fairland residence.
Michael Bozarth Jr. is being held in the Shelby County Jail with a bond amount of $500,000.
As a result of his arrest and the subsequent search, Bozarth faces these criminal charges:
- Dealing in Methamphetamine (Level 2 Felony)
- Dealing in Cocaine (Level 2 Felony)
- Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Fentanyl)-(Level 2 Felony)
- Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Oxycodone)-(Level 2 Felony)
- Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Morphine)-(Level 3 Felony)
- Dealing in a Narcotic Drug (Hydrocodone)-(Level 3 Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class A Misdemeanor)
The investigation allegedly led to the recovery of illegal substances and other items, including:
- Over 290 grams of Meth
- Over 10 grams of Fentanyl
- Over 75 grams of Cocaine
- Numerous Oxycodone, Morphine, Hydrocodone, Alprazolam, and other tablets
- Marijuana
- 8 Firearms
- $2,131.00 in cash
