EDINBURGH, Ind. — Ivy Tech Community College Columbus biology faculty members continue to offer free local nature hikes for anyone interested in learning more about the natural environment around them.
The next hike is at 10 a.m. this Saturday, February 8, at the Driftwood State Fishing Area. Ivy Tech Columbus faculty member Dr. Tom Sobat will lead the adventure, focusing on winter’s wonder while exploring the trails along the Driftwood River.
Hikers should meet in the first paved parking area at the Driftwood State Fishing Area, 8825 S. US 31, in Edinburgh.
Participants should dress appropriately for cold weather. Bring binoculars if possible, however, the college will have a few for hikers to use.
