COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) arrested three people after an investigation into the dealing of illegal narcotics from a home in the 700 block of 22nd Street. JNET executed a search warrant on Tuesday.
Timothy Perry, Michael Coffey, and Anna Arney were inside the residence and taken into custody.
Investigators allegedly found over 50 grams of methamphetamine, $2,700 cash, marijuana, drug-related items, and other evidence of dealing narcotics. Three firearms were also seized at the residence.
Perry, 63, of Columbus, remains in custody on a 72-hour hold on the charges of dealing in meth (level 2 felony), possession of meth (level 3 felony), maintaining a common nuisance (level 6 felony), possession of marijuana (B misdemeanor), and possession of paraphernalia (C misdemeanor).
Michael Coffey, 35, of Columbus, is incarcerated on a 72-hour hold for possession of meth (level 6 felony) and visiting a common nuisance (A misdemeanor).
Anna Arney, of Columbus, was booked for visiting a common nuisance (A misdemeanor).
JNET, a combined unit of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department, and the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office, proactively targets the manufacturing and abuse of dangerous drugs in Columbus and Bartholomew County.
This is a preliminary investigation. All persons are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
